Privacy Policy

This policy covers blog.energyfirst.com, the EnergyFirst blog. It is a publishing site: it sells nothing and takes no orders. Purchases happen on energyfirst.com, which has its own privacy policy covering orders, payment and shipping.

The blog is operated by NutriScience Corporation, 1129 Highland Ave, Suite 202, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.

What we collect

Very little, and none of it deliberately identifying.

Server logs

Our web host records standard request information: your IP address, browser and operating system, the page you requested, the page you arrived from, and the time. This is automatic, applies to essentially every website, and is used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Cookies

The blog sets no advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site — if you are simply reading, no login cookies are set.

Comments and forms

Comments are closed site-wide, and the blog has no contact or sign-up forms. We therefore collect no names, email addresses or messages through this site.

Analytics

The blog currently runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does, and this section will name the service.

Embedded content

Articles may embed content from other sites, such as a video. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site, and those sites may collect data and set their own cookies. Their policies govern that, not ours.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share your personal information.
We do not run behavioural advertising on this site.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How long we keep things

Server logs are retained by our host for a limited period as part of normal operations and then rotated out. We hold no other reader data to retain.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to certain processing.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.

Visitors in the EU and UK. Where the GDPR applies, our lawful basis for processing server log data is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

To make a request, email info@energyfirst.com. Requests relating to an order or a customer account should go through energyfirst.com, since that is where those records live.
